A Little About Me
Richard Svendsen
After my nearly 30 years in the corporate world and owning a bed and breakfast, I turned to Real Estate as my third career in 2020!
In my corporate life, I had an equity stake in a cost containment firm in Illinois, with offices in the 5 surrounding states. Upon the sale of that company, we purchased and successfully ran a 4-bedroom Bed
After my nearly 30 years in the corporate world and owning a bed and breakfast, I turned to Real Estate as my third career in 2020!
In my corporate life, I had an equity stake in a cost containment firm in Illinois, with offices in the 5 surrounding states. Upon the sale of that company, we purchased and successfully ran a 4-bedroom Bed and Breakfast in Flagstaff, Arizona, for 16 years! While there in Flagstaff, I founded a 501(c)3 non-profit that is a volunteer services organization, PEAKS Pride, Inc. With PEAKS Pride, we would clean the streets (adopt an avenue), help the elderly in nursing and assisted living facilities with their gardens, shovel sidewalks and driveways (Flagstaff gets 8-22 feet of snow!). I have since incorporated the non-profit here in Washington state and am in the process of looking for volunteers to be a part of projects in and around Oak Harbor. Upon the sale of the Bed and Breakfast in 2019, we moved to Whidbey Island! My experience in business and personal skills are perfect to help you find your first home, a vacation property or to help you sell your current home or property!
